“Participation” was the central theme of this edition of the exhibition “Design in public space” in the Cieszyn Castle. The exhibited projects exemplify the participation of different social groups in designing public spaces. The exhibition illustrates good practices and activities uniting designers, officials and representatives of local communities. The exhibition shows that it is the ability to observe and cooperate and not necessarily big money that is essential in order to improve the quality of public space. The exhibition space was based on simple spruce display units and hanging boards with project descriptions and fresh, natural colours were used. On a green chalkboard the visitors could write their ideas for Cieszyn.
