The exhibition "See:Britain" showcases British documentary photography from 1963 to 2020, spanning events from the closure of coal mines to Brexit and COVID-19. It features around 200 photographs, marking the first time such a comprehensive selection is being exhibited outside the United Kingdom.
The exhibition is divided into several thematic zones that correspond to various socio-political phenomena. This thematic division is the central concept of the arrangement. The character of each theme is reflected in the typography of the titles, featuring elements such as handwritten scripts and dynamic or block letter compositions. Each theme is also distinctly treated in the arrangement of the photographs themselves. The objects are displayed in various layouts, ranging from classic linear sequences to block arrangements and irregular compositions filling entire walls.
The color scheme of the exhibition is based on off-white and anthracite gray.
An additional layer of the exhibition is a specially curated playlist of British music that reflects the spirit of the times and situations depicted in the photographs. The playlist can be listened to on personal mobile devices by scanning QR codes placed throughout the exhibition space.
